System Compliance Engineer

Key Responsibilities
• Perform regular assessments and audits of systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, including gambling regulations and data privacy laws.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as IT, security, legal, and compliance to ensure system architecture, design, and implementation meet all legal and regulatory standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities in systems that could lead to non-compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Monitor system activities and logs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., anti-money laundering (AML), responsible gaming, data protection laws).
• Design and implement technical compliance controls within the system architecture to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to regulations.
• Work closely with the compliance and legal teams to integrate compliance requirements into system design and operational processes.
• Assist in preparing for audits by ensuring systems are properly configured and well-documented for regulatory inspections.
• Stay up to date with regulatory changes, compliance standards, and best practices in the iGaming industry to ensure systems remain compliant.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system compliance issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in system engineering, IT security, or a related role, with a focus on compliance or risk management.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in Brazil, especially those related to iGaming, data protection (LGPD), anti-money laundering (AML), and responsible gaming.
• Experience in assessing system compliance and implementing technical solutions to address regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of security protocols, system monitoring tools, and compliance management software.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Bash) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in Portuguese, with fluency in English being a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
