About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated English Foreign Teacher to join our international school in Beijing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English, with experience in guiding students through prestigious competitions such as the JOHN LOCKE Essay Competition and other literary contests. This role involves teaching students aged 12-17 in small class settings (1-5 students per class) and fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 12-17.
Prepare students for academic competitions, including the JOHN LOCKE Essay Competition and other literary contests.
Maintain a structured and disciplined classroom environment.
Provide individualized support to students during office hours.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials.
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities as required.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:20 PM.
Office hours are included as part of the schedule.
Requirements:
Native English speaker from a recognized English-speaking country (preference given to candidates from North America).
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (preference given to graduates of North American universities).
TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent teaching certification is highly preferred.
Proven experience in teaching English, particularly to middle and high school students.
Experience in preparing students for academic competitions is a strong advantage.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
