Consumer Lawyer

Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice and guidance on consumer protection laws, ensuring all practices are compliant with Brazilian regulations and standards.
• Review and draft terms and conditions, privacy policies, and player agreements to ensure they meet consumer protection requirements.
• Handle consumer complaints, disputes, and claims in a timely and professional manner, seeking amicable resolutions when possible.
• Advise on legal risks related to customer experiences, marketing practices, and business operations, ensuring the protection of consumer rights.
• Stay up to date with Brazilian consumer laws, including the Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor) and regulations applicable to the iGaming sector.
• Collaborate with the customer service and compliance teams to develop policies and procedures that align with legal requirements.
• Represent the company in consumer disputes or regulatory investigations, including working with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Monitor and analyze consumer trends and complaints to help improve products and services.

Requirements
• Law degree from a recognized institution; admission to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) is required.
• 3+ years of experience in consumer law, with expertise in Brazilian consumer protection laws, especially in regulated sectors such as iGaming, digital services, or e-commerce.
• Strong understanding of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC) and other relevant consumer-related laws.
• Experience in resolving consumer disputes and handling complaints through various channels (e.g., courts, regulatory bodies, and alternative dispute resolution).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Portuguese; English proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
