To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, CATL, through its U.S.-based subsidiary, CATK, is seeking experienced and dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our team. As an Environmental Engineer at CATK, you will play a critical role in overseeing and improving our environmental management systems. You will ensure compliance with all environmental laws and regulations and work towards making our manufacturing processes more sustainable.

Essential Functions:

- Ensure all company activities adhere to local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

- Conduct regular environmental audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.

- Develop and implement strategies to minimize waste and pollution, including air and water pollution control systems.

- Monitor emissions and effluent discharges, ensuring compliance with environmental permits.

- Oversee the reduction, recycling, and proper disposal of industrial waste materials.

- Implement innovative waste reduction strategies to minimize the environmental footprint of manufacturing operations.

- Lead projects aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing the use of natural resources.

- Collaborate with other departments to integrate sustainable practices across the production cycle.

- Educate staff on environmental policies and best practices.

- Advocate for environmental awareness and responsibility throughout the organization.

- Prepare and submit necessary environmental reports and documentation to governmental agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Management is preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an environmental engineering role within a manufacturing setting.

- Certified Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Environmental Auditor is highly desirable.

- Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations and standards (EPA, OSHA, etc.).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in project management.

- Excellent communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.

- Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting

- Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds, as some equipment and materials might be heavy.

- Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required, depending on the project.

- Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.

- Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
